Accessibility
Flora Endless Word Search
Flora is designed to be enjoyable and usable by as many people as possible, with accessibility considered throughout the app experience.
Our Commitment
HSL Innovations believes accessibility is part of thoughtful design. Flora Endless Word Search is built with clear layouts, readable text, accessible controls, and support for Apple accessibility features.
VoiceOver
Flora includes VoiceOver support to help players navigate and understand the puzzle interface.
- Grid cells announce their row, column, and letter.
- Selected cells provide feedback when chosen.
- Found words are communicated through accessible state information.
- Toolbar buttons use descriptive labels such as Back, New, and Help.
- Celebration screens present meaningful completion information.
Dynamic Type
Flora supports larger text sizes using Apple's Dynamic Type settings. Players who increase text size in iOS or iPadOS should see improved readability across instructions, buttons, word lists, and game screens.
Color and Contrast
Flora is designed for readability in both Light Mode and Dark Mode. The app uses system colors where appropriate so text, backgrounds, and interface elements adapt to the user's appearance settings.
Word selections and completed words use visual state changes to help make progress easier to understand during gameplay.
Dark Mode
Flora supports both Light Appearance and Dark Appearance and follows the user's system setting automatically.
Haptic Feedback
On supported Apple devices, Flora uses subtle haptic feedback to confirm actions such as finding a word and completing a puzzle.
Devices that do not include haptic hardware will continue to work normally; haptic feedback simply will not be felt on those devices.
Device Support
Flora is designed for iPhone and iPad, with layouts that adapt to different screen sizes and orientations. On iPad, landscape layouts provide more room for the puzzle grid and word list.
Ongoing Improvements
Accessibility is an ongoing effort. Future updates may improve VoiceOver navigation, layout behavior, text scaling, contrast, and other parts of the experience based on testing and user feedback.
